OLSON Wins Three Effie Awards

The North American Effie Awards competition announced final-round judging results for 2010 including three winning entries for OLSON, a Minneapolis-based communications and advertising agency.

Effies that will be awarded to OLSON this year include entries for Bauer Hockey, Phillips Distilling Company and Lee Jeans, in three categories: Influencers, Sustained Success and Fashion/Style. Gold, Silver and Bronze Effie winners will be announced at the 42nd annual Effie Gala on June 8, 2010, at Cipriani 42nd Street in New York City.

Effies recognize any form of marketing communication that contributes to a brand's success. Any marketing medium is eligible for an Effie including print, TV, radio, outdoor, internet, digital, package design, events, street teams, PR, and paid or unpaid media. Started in 1968, The Effies are now worldwide with the Global Effie, the Euro Effie, the Middle East/North Africa Effie and more than 40 national Effie programs.

"We have had quite a run with the Effies," says Tom Fugleberg, executive creative director of OLSON. "It's a product of working with clients who, like us, believe in the power of connection and brand community-and who have outsized ambitions for success in the marketplace.
