Mr. Adams focuses on adding value by assisting business owners meet and exceed their business and personal goals. Farley S. Kaufmann, CPA
Farley is a Partner at Lurie Besikof Lapidus & Company, LLP. He guides his clients through succession planning, mergers and acquisitions, and selling of closely-held businesses. He also consults on matters related to accounting, tax and tax planning, record keeping, compensation plans, buy-sell agreements, deferred compensation plans, and general business administration. His industry specialties include: family and closely-held businesses, professional athletes, high net worth individuals, real estate, distribution/wholesale, health care, and law firms. Through the firm's entrepreneurial spirit and dedication to superior client service, Farley is committed to helping businesses and business owners accomplish their goals. In addition, he has shared his wealth of knowledge through extensive participation and engagement with members of the business community and with other organizations including the University of Minnesota, Carlson School of Management, and the University of St. Thomas School of Law.
Farley joined the firm in 1977 as a staff accountant; he became Partner in 1988, and served as the Managing Partner from 19912007. He graduated with distinction from the University of Minnesota with a Bachelor of Science degree in Accounting. He was also honored as one of Minnesota's "40 Under Forty" by the Minneapolis/St. Paul Business Journal, which spotlights individuals who have already accomplished fantastic things and are poised to leave their mark on the Twin Cities for years to come.
Farley's professional associations include: the American Institute of Certified Public Accountants, the Minnesota Society of Certified Public Accountants, the Medical Group Management Association (MGMAl, the Minnesota MGMA, and the American Health Lawyers Association. In the past he has served on the Board of Directors for the Leading Edge Alliance and the CPA Associates. As an active community member, Farley serves on the Board of Regents for Saint Mary's University of Minnesota-School of Graduate and Professional Programs; Board of Directors, Executive Committee, and Chairman of the Administration Committee for the Children's Cancer Research Fund; and the Board of Directors, Executive Committee, Treasurer, and Chairman of the Finance Committee for the Angel Foundation.
