Minnesota Business Magazine Hires a New Editor
PRESS RELEASE: For immediate release
MINNEAPOLIS, MN (August 29, 2012) – Tiger Oak Media is excited to announce the hire of Steve Mollman as the next editor of Minnesota Business Magazine.
“We’re thrilled to have an editor of Steve’s caliber at the helm of Minnesota Business,” group publisher Tamara Prato said. “This is a critical hire for us; we spent a good amount of time identifying what we believe is the perfect fit to lead the editorial content and focus in new and exciting directions as we look forward to 2013.”
Mollman previously served as an editor for the Wall Street Journal and Wired magazine, among other publications. He’s reported on business, technology and other topics for the likes of Time, CNN, the Wall Street Journal, and many other print and online publications, traveling the world along the way with stints in San Francisco, Tokyo, New York and Hong Kong.
“Excited to get started is the only way to describe my enthusiasm for this opportunity,” Mollman said. “To lead a publication with such rich history in a state with such a diverse business culture is sure to be a challenge and an honor.”
Tiger Oak Media, publisher of more than 20 magazines in a dozen markets, has seen some great growth in Minnesota Business since acquiring the publication almost four years ago from previous publisher Metropolitan Media/Great Water Media Group. Most recently events and awards including Minnesota’s Top 100, Best Marketers and the upcoming Leaders in Health Care (set for September 24) have been well-received by both recipients of the awards and the business community at large.
In the past three months, Minnesota Business has hired art director Kevin Kinley and marketing consultant Sara Ferden; the publication is also looking to grow its online editorial team.
