Securian Supports Nonprofits

The Securian Foundation, launched in 1988 by the Securian Financial Group, announced Monday that they have donated over $600 thousand to nonprofit organizations in the Twin Cities. Recipients include:

   ·            Greater Twin Cities United Way – $395,000 (ongoing contribution

      pledged in 2010)

   ·            Twin Cities Public Television – $30,000

   ·            Minnesota Private College Fund – $22,000

   ·            Minnesota Orchestra  -- $20,000

   ·            Science Museum of Minnesota – $15,000

“In the past decade alone, Securian has contributed more than $19 million in cash gifts to the community,” said Lori Koutsky, manager of community relations and the Securian Foundation. “With the addition of in-kind gifts and volunteer hours contributed by our associates, total giving over the past ten years surpasses $28 million.”

Securian Financial Group is headquartered in St. Paul.
