On the Minnesota Materials Exchange, one company's junk is another's treasure
Got reusable goods you don't want? Sell them or give them away on the Minnesota Materials Exchange website, which can help you free up storage space and skip the landfill. For their part, recipients (usually businesses or nonprofits) get free or low-cost parts and materials. Recently listed items include 35 microscope heads ($50 each), 10 concrete storm-water pipes (free), and a large satellite dish (free). The program is coordinated by the Minnesota Technical Assistance Program at the University of Minnesota. For more information, visit mnexchange.org.
