MinnesotaBusiness Magazine welcomes ideas, suggestions, and comments from
readers. In addition, if you'd like to inform MinnesotaBusiness about a
potential up-and-coming enterprise or an accomplished entrepreneur that you'd

MinnesotaBusiness Magazine also accepts outside contributed articles from
local firms and service providers. Outside contributors most often are used in
the Managing Growth and Commentary sections.
- Managing Growth articles provide expert advice on solving the management and
leadership challenges of growing enterprises.
- Commentary articles are op-ed type features that take a stand on an issue
relevant to business leaders and suggest a course of action.
Here are guidelines for such submissions, articles must:
- Be relevant to leaders of mid-market, growing enterprises (Sales: $1M to
$250M)
- Be appropriate for Minnesota-based firms, and be applicable to firms in all
industries.
- Not have any self-promotion or marketing language.
- Define an issue and explain why it is important to our readers.
- Acknowledge and explain potential conflicting or differing viewpoints on the
issue.
- Provide prescriptions for how to proceed, i.e. concrete steps or a plan
action to assist a business leader in developing a solution to the described
issue.
- Article Length. Managing Growth: 1000 words; Commentary: 600 words
- If article is selected, MinnesotaBusiness will require a color,
high-resolution photo of author along with a short bio for inclusion with
article. (Color hard-copy photographs are acceptable.)
