A Feb. 18 event in Minneapolis aims to combine nightlife and networking
Want some nightlife after work but feel you should spend more time networking? On Feb. 18 in Minneapolis, you can do both, thanks to Network After Work, a national organization that specializes in combining the two things. In cities across the nation, it hosts networking events open to people "from all industries and career levels interested in expanding their professional network." Events take place at top nightlife spots — in this case, the Venue, formerly Insert Coin(s), which features high-definition LCD screens, videogame consoles, and classic arcade cabinets. Interestingly, each event participant gets a name tag color coded by industry, to allow for easier "navigation." That could allow you to stick to people in your target industries, of course, but then again sometimes the best connections come from the least expected places. Our advice: roam freely.
