In our February 2015 issue, we highlighted the Hometown BioEnergy plant in Le Sueur, Minnesota. The award-winning facility converts agricultural and food-processing waste into electricity for the local distribution system. On April 20-22, the Minneapolis Convention Center hosts the 8th annual International Biomass Conference & Expo, where facilities like Hometown BioEnergy will be among the topics. Featuring over 100 speakers and more than 30 panels, the event attracts investors, equipment manufacturers, policy makers and others interested in biomass utilization and the industries surrounding it.
