WinnerCSM Corporation
Real estate; Minneapolis

Choosing a new charity partner to donate to every two years, in 2012 the CSM Corporation supported the Ronald McDonald House Charities in a variety of ways. Employees gave back by cooking and serving dinners, throwing birthday parties, and sponsoring a food drive that donated more than 100,000 perishable items. In addition to volunteering, CSM has held a variety of fundraisers and other charitable events for the organization, totaling a donation amount close to $75,000 - and making it the company's largest corporate donation of 2012.

Finalists

American Engineering Testing
Engineering services; St. Paul

American Engineering Testing encourages its employees to give back to the communities they do business with - both financially and through volunteering. For the past 10 years, American Engineering has been donating to the United Way, and in 2012 it raised more than $12,000 for the organization during its annual giving week. In addition, the company also held a variety of other charitable giving events last year, including packing dental kits for children's hospitals and participating in a back-to-school drive for St. Paul Schools.

C.H. Robinson Worldwide
Logistics; Eden Prairie

C.H. Robinson Worldwide started giving back to the multiple sclerosis (MS) cause in 2004 when a group of 12 employees who shared a passion for cycling pedaled in the MS 150 bike ride. Today, more than 550 employees, families, and friends have ridden with the team, raising more than $288,000. Since 2010, C.H. Robinson has been the title sponsor of the C.H. Robinson MS 150 bike ride, which covers 150 miles over two days and benefits those affected by MS through support programs, services, and cutting-edge research.
