Energy-saving projects might pay off in the long run, but what if you can’t afford the upfront costs? You can tap into energy savings performance contracting. With this approach, you can use future energy savings to pay for those costs — and spare your budget. The Energy Services Coalition, a public/private partnership with chapters around the nation, advocates this approach and will hold its third annual Market Transformation Conference in St. Paul on July 29-30. The event will showcase innovations, case studies, and best practices in energy savings performance contracting. Efficiency expert Bob Dixon, a VP at Siemens, will deliver the keynote. Among the companies present will be McKinstry, praised by President Obama for making buildings more energy-efficient. The event’s main attraction? The energy-efficient networking, of course.
