Clockwork CEO Nancy Lyons with NBC's Cynthia McFadden
Clockwork Active Media recognized nationally for unique work environment, flexibility
In 2012 and 2014, Clockwork Active Media was featured as one of the best places to work in the state. The Minneapolis-based media company was honored in Minnesota Business magazine’s 100 Best Places to Work For Awards.
Clockwork company leaders were thrilled then. But today, the business is walking in an even brighter spotlight. On Nov. 13, national reporter Cynthia McFadden highlighted Clockwork during NBC’s Nightly News.
“Imagine a job where no one worries about when you walk in,” McFadden says, “Or where you can bring your kids to work whenever you want.” The flexibility that Clockwork founder and CEO Nancy Lyons gives her employees is what keeps staff happy, she reports.
“If you look on our website, it says, ‘we like Mondays,’ and it’s true,” Lyons tells McFadden. “It’s not work-life balance, it’s life balance. We bring our work home, we bring our lives to work.”
