International design conference examines global growth of industry
From April 13-16, the University of Minnesota (Twin Cities) hosts the 14th annual Design of Medical Devices Conference, one of the largest of its kind in the world. The speaker lineup includes Elena Rozhkova of Argonne National Laboratory discussing magnetic nanotechnologies and John Rogers of the University of Illinois Urbana-Champaign exploring soft injectable and conformable neural interfaces. On the final day, panelists address the industry’s growth in China, Japan, Singapore, and South Korea. Meanwhile a design showcase displays the creativity of young med-tech talent from around the globe.
